For our Jerusalem project at Mandel JDS, I was assigned the Muslim Quarter. Unfortunately, I am missing the program because of my trip. On this trip, I went with my dad to the Islamic University of North Sumatra so I did get to learn more about Muslims. Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world with 87 percent of the population being Muslim (over 200 million people).
All of the female students there were wearing headscarves called hijabs. I spoke with some of the students after the presentation and they were really nice. They seemed in the topic my dad discussed of entrepreneurship.
It is crazy how some politicians say they don't want to let Muslims visit the US even though they are so nice.
